Visitor from the Bahamas
February 4, 2008 by sutton
On Sunday 3rd February we had a very important visitor from the Bahamas at St. Andrew’s. The Bishop of Warrington came to dedicate and open our new Parish Centre. He brought with him the Rt. Revd. Laish Boyd, Coadjutor bishop of the Bahamas and the Turks and Cacos Islands. It was a very cold and windy day but it didn’t seem to bother our visitor who enjoyed being with us very much indeed. Bishop Laish was spending 2 weeks in this country and he came to St. Andrew’s at the end of his visit. It was a very great pleasure to have him with us and I am looking forward to being able to maybe link up with a St. Andrew’s parish in the Bahamas. I’m the first in the queue for an exchange visit! Well, I am the vicar!
